Jay Blackberry 50 Games
This week Jay Blackberry will celebrate his 50th senior game for the South Launceston Football Club against Launceston at Youngtown. Jay, the nephew of club great Jade Elmer, made his way through the junior ranks starting way back in under 11's . As he moved into the senior club it was evident he would follow in his uncles footsteps and become an invaluable player for the club. Since making his senior debut in 2009, Jay has only missed 3 games of football all due to Tassie Mariners commitments and at the age of only 19 has a long and distinguisehed career in front of him. In 2010, his second year of senior football, he finished 3rd in the Scott Harris Medal and is tipped to be up there again this year.
From everyone at the South Launceston Football Club we wish Jay all the best today in his 50th game!
